I am loving the retail window displays that have a neutral palette. They feel so warm and inviting. I especially love a black backdrop. It really gives you luxurious richness. I love black soooo much that I even painted by closet black. My clothes shine much more against the black than white.
I thought that I would share with all of you a little window love and black inspiration!

I am loving the doilies from Anthropologie. So simple but so pretty. |
Yes!!! Those are marshmallows. |
I bet you could get your kids help with this one! Anthropologie |
Aren't the rocks awesome! These look super awesome in the Anthropologie window. |
I loved this last issue from Restoration Hardware. Just draw in your scene. |
I first saw the chalk scene over in last winter's lookbook for Ruche. How beautiful!! And I also love this little fabric tree too. So clever. Your imagination could just go on and on with this idea. |
This is also from Ruche. Tulle and chiffon and lace and whatever else you can hang to give you this monochromatic yet textured look. |
Food is a big inspiration for me. Look at it with a different eye to see color and texture. Doesn't this look divine against a black background? From my pinterest board. |
Here's another one from my pinterest board that really lets this tart 'shine'. |
For this year's winter/fall displays,
Think BLACK & NEUTRAL!
I love the chalkboard one with the fabric tree too! I also really like the one with all the layers of tied fabric hanging down. so pretty. These would also be beautiful ways to dress a buffet table backdrop eh?
ReplyDeleteOh yes! There are so many ways to make this look your own. Can't wait to see your interpretation.
