Easter and spring always gets me in the mood to make a couple of small changes to freshen up my life. After doing so much at Christmas time as far as decorating, I get a little burnt out on getting the house all cute again until Easter time. I am ready for spring blooms and green grass and Easter morning!
Here are the first signs of Spring at my house:
1. My Dining Room Table. My mom hand painted these little bunnies when I was a little girl. I just did something really simple to look festive but not too much since we will be away for Easter. A lavender bundle from our garden is tucked in between them. I used a cream linen table cloth that has some simple stitching around the hem and round rattan place mats. A shabby chic napkin looks so cute with my grandmother's little flower porcelain napkin rings.
2. Switching Purses. I love this little yellow straw bag. My mom didn't want it anymore and thought it was just what I needed to have a little sunshine on my shoulder. And you all know I LOVE yellow!
3. Front Door Wreath. I love wreaths. It is the easiest thing to use to have an instant makeover on your home. I made this one years ago with my MOPS moms.
4. Spring Bulbs. I love spotting the first green shoots of spring bulbs. There is just something about Lent and Easter and rebirth and spring bulbs! I just love this time of year.
