I just love new cocktails and especially ones that are so easy to make. Kalimotxo (pronounced coolie-mocho) is a red wine and coke based drink. I have a few ideas to make it a little bit fancier for sipping on your porch. I learned about this cocktail when some good friends got back from a trip in Spain. They said that this is the drink of choice with all the kids. Most European countries have a version and name for this cocktail. To me, it's a way better choice than our nasty American drink of redbull & vodka (gross!!).
Cherries and strawberries are in season right now and either one are so delicious in this drink. All you have to do is pour some red wine over some ice and add some coke. Then top with some sliced cherries or strawberries.
Another fun way to drink this is to add it all in a blender with some crushed ice and blend it into a slushy. Super Super yum for a hot day! Just add more cherries or strawberries when you do it this way.
