When we did our remodel/addition in the summer of 2008, we didn't touch the garage. This summer we decided that it needed a little TLC.
-So we added new shingles on the roof.
-We replaced the door with a fir one. We just coated it with polyurethane to leave it natural.
-We painted it a lilac/mulberry purple with white trim.
-We painted the old metal garage door a flat black enamel.
WOW! What a difference. It really added a lot of charm to the old carriage house.

Looks great! I love those kind of makeovers, just a little elbow grease and some love. PERFECT!
